Our team of Social Infrastructure specialists revitalise homes and communities by carrying out a wide range of work, from retrofit to refurbishment, and maintenance.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pre Construction Manager to join our team in Dartford, United Kingdom. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pre-construction phase, ensuring projects are set up for success from the outset.

- Building Safety Act 2022
- Approved Document B
- PAS 9980 and BS 8414
Familiarity with design coordination and value engineering in pre-construction phases. Ability to interpret and challenge architectural and engineering drawings.
Project & Commercial Acumen
Proven experience in early-stage project planning, including:
- Scope definition
- Risk identification
- Programme development
Strong understanding of procurement strategies and supply chain engagement. Ability to support cost planning and budget development in collaboration with QS teams. Experience working with framework agreements and public sector clients (e.g., GLA, DLUHC-funded schemes).
Stakeholder & Team Management
Excellent communication skills for liaising with:
- Clients
- Design consultants
- Fire engineers
- Internal delivery teams
Ability to lead design team meetings and drive progress. Experience in client presentations and bid support. Collaborative mindset with ability to work cross-functionally (commercial, design, delivery).
Regulatory & Compliance Awareness
Familiarity with Building Control processes, including Gateway 2 submissions. Understanding of Golden Thread principles and digital record-keeping. Awareness of resident engagement requirements under the Building Safety Regulator.

Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or similar.
- Membership of CIOB, RICS, or similar professional body.
- Proficiency in tools like:
- MS Project
- BIM platforms (e.g., Revit, Navisworks)
- Document control systems (e.g., Aconex)
