We are currently partnering with a highly respected, established Main Contractor based across the Home Counties to appoint a Pre-Construction Manager.

Supporting the Bid Management and Estimating teams, this pivotal role is responsible for driving the front-end planning, strategy, and technical viability of major schemes prior to site commencement. You will take ownership of tender programmes, methodology, risk management, and scope definitions to ensure bids are commercially robust, competitive, and operationally deliverable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tender Planning & Strategy: Build detailed, fully logic-linked tender programmes using Asta Powerproject.
  • Risk & Value Management: Identify technical risks, site constraints, and value engineering opportunities during the bid phase.
  • Methodology & Logistics: Formulate comprehensive site logistics plans, constructability reviews, and phased construction methodologies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Estimators, Commercial Managers, and Bid Managers to align technical proposals with pricing.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Present pre-construction programmes and technical strategies directly to clients during interview stages.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
