Pre Construction Planner
About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Their values shape their approach and define the type of individuals they seek to join their team.
They are expanding their Pre-Construction Advisory capabilities to provide clients with greater early-stage certainty. The role involves shaping integrated delivery strategies, merging construction expertise with strategic insights to ensure the successful delivery of large, complex schemes. Suitability is ideal for individuals who excel in early planning and enjoy tackling complex delivery challenges.
Note: This is a Full-time/Part-time permanent role based in the UK/London.
Responsibilities
- Provide buildability, logistics, and methodology insights
- Shape early delivery strategies, defining phasing, sequencing, and constraints
- Develop integrated strategic schedules for every project stage
- Manage optioneering and scenario modelling
- Assess design, planning, and operational constraints
- Evaluate feasibility, risks, and opportunities
- Support early procurement and benchmarking
- Align stakeholders and integrate multidisciplinary inputs

Requirements
- Experienced in pre-construction, planning, or design management for major, complex projects
- Strong expertise in buildability, logistics, and early-stage phasing
- High programme literacy with the ability to test delivery scenarios
- Clear communicator with strong advisory skills and a collaborative approach
