Job Purpose

To support the success of Esco through efficient coordination of pre-sales and post-sales service activities while delivering excellent customer support and administrative assistance. The role acts as a key liaison between customers, service engineers, sales teams, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations, customer satisfaction, and achievement of service sales objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Service Sales Support

  • Support the service team and all service sales-related activities within the company.
  • Prepare, submit, and follow up on quotations, tenders, and service contracts via email and phone.
  • Coordinate with customers regarding service inquiries, pricing, and contract renewals.
  • Assist in achieving service sales targets and maintaining service margins.
  • Source, contact, and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Review customer terms and conditions to ensure limited business risk exposure.

Post-Sales & Customer Service Operations

  • Act as an extension of the field service team to maintain strong customer relationships and deliver high standards of customer service.
  • Process customer purchase orders and generate service order confirmations via the system.
  • Submit service order confirmations to the Service Coordinator and relevant departments.
  • Prepare and send proforma invoices and service order confirmations to customers.
  • Follow up on customer payments and ensure timely processing.
  • Coordinate with factory and logistics teams regarding delivery schedules, costing, and spare parts requirements.
  • Support engineers and technicians by preparing documentation, parts, and service-related materials.

Inventory & Reporting

  • Monitor inventory stock levels and support stock-taking activities.
  • Check stock availability and prepare spare parts for technicians and engineers.
  • Generate weekly and monthly sales, purchase order, and service activity reports.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and filing systems.

General Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operational support.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Handle multiple priorities while remaining calm under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Continuously learn and develop understanding of Esco products, equipment, and technical processes.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience (preferably in laboratory or scientific equipment).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related fields; specialisation in service or sales is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in customer service, service coordination, sales support, or administrative operations is preferred.
  • Excellent spoken and written English Language communication skills.
  • Strong organisational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and PDF handling.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Good analytical skills with understanding of service operations, production processes, and sales reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive and customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently, within a team, and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Professional attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn technical aspects of Esco products and services.
