We have facilities across the UK and are looking for a Pre-Press Operative to join our team in Burnley.
The successful candidate will be required to work a permanent night shift pattern (10pm – 6am Monday – Friday)
You’ll coordinate and operate the mounting department, maintain plate condition, and keep all associated materials controlled, stored, and ready for production. This role is central to ensuring our presses run right first time, every time.

Summary Of Responsibilities
The role supports the running of the mounting department, ensuring all mounting activities are completed safely, accurately, and to quality standards. It involves preparing, cleaning, storing, and recording all printing plates, sleeves, cylinders, and lay sheets; ordering replacements in line with future print runs; and checking all plate requirements ahead of production to secure 100% plan adherence. The role also manages plate damage reporting, filing artworks, maintaining clear trucks, liaising with Studio, and proofing ahead within agreed limits. It includes stripping and storing plates to SOP requirements, filing new stereos when needed, and consistently upholding company policies, hygiene, and housekeeping standards.
