The Role

Ravelin is looking for a Technical Pre-Sales Manager with proven experience and a passion for selling technology solutions to senior executives. You will be responsible for working closely with the sellers to mitigate technical red flags & bottlenecks as the prospect moves through the sales funnel, as well as supporting a smooth onboarding transition to a live paying client.

Key Responsibilities Responsibilities

External Act as a knowledgeable and trusted advisor to prospective clients on the technical capabilities of Ravelin to identify appropriate implementation and deployment options Run discovery sessions and tailored demonstrations to gather technical requirements Support and manage Proof of Concepts where necessary Liaise with delivery teams to ensure accurate understanding of the prospect client’s platform Technical consultation during the sales process, and supporting the curation of Ravelin implementation plans Understand in-depth the prospect’s existing internal fraud prevention, Account Take Over and similar systems Develop relationships within the prospective client’s organisation

Internal Be a subject matter expert on Ravelin’s solutions and use cases Collaborate across internal functions, especially Product and Integration Work directly with internal teams to deliver technical specifications of prospect client’s bespoke requirements Maintain and improve our knowledge base and RFP answers. Act and encourage sharing and excellence as one of a pool of resource, globally

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Requirements Experience in working in a similar pre-sales technical/engineering/consulting roles Experience in card payments and authentication Technical awareness of EMVco standards, including flows, data requirements and protocol versions. Be able to demonstrate a strong balance of both commercial and technical acumen in supporting the delivery of revenue to the business Technical awareness as part of software sales discussions e.g. operating systems (Linux), cloud computing (Azure, AWS), data types (CSV, XML, JSON) and database technologies & storage Strong ability to engage and manage expectations with different internal and external stakeholders Strong academic background, preferably Technology or scientific degree A thirst to learn Initiate improvements in knowledge and sharing of work for the good of all Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner An ability to understand the business value of the Ravelin proposition and express that in meaningful terms to exec levels in the target client Knowledge of fraud prevention would be a nice to have
