You’ll report to the Manager, Field Engineering.
The Impact You Will Have
- Build and fostering successful client relationships across assigned territories, delivering both technical and business value in partnership with an Account Executive and Senior Solutions Architect.
- Excite customers about Databricks through hands-on evaluations, including Spark programming, integration with the cloud ecosystem, and third-party applications.
- Contribute to building the Databricks technical community by engaging in workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
- Act as a trusted advisor on big data analytics, covering architecture and design aspects.
- Author reference architectures, how-to guides, and demo applications to support customers.
- Grow both technically and in pre-sales, with the goal of becoming an independent Solutions Architect.

Key Responsibilities
Requirements
-
Experience in technical customer-facing roles, preferably with a background in:
- Data Science
- Generative AI
- Machine Learning
- Data Warehousing
- Data Engineering
-
Industry experience in any of the following sectors:
- Real-money Gaming, Sports, Entertainment, Media, Telco & Hospitality
- Manufacturing, Energy & Industrials
- Travel, Transport & Logistics
- Financial Services & Insurance
- Public Sector
- Consumer Package Goods (CPG) / Retail

Pre-sales or post-sales experience working with external clients.

Strong ability to:
- Create narratives and connect with clients.
- Align agendas and address customer interests.
- Achieve tangible outcomes.

Experience independently delivering technical propositions, identifying pain points, and demonstrating business value to become a trusted advisor.

Proficiency in coding a core programming language, such as:
- Python
- Java
- Scala

Broad knowledge of Big Data Analytics with exposure to:
- Advanced proofs-of-concept.
- Key public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
