The Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill Pre-School
The Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill Pre-School is part of Oasis Community Learning, an educational trust established in 2004 with the express purpose of transforming learning, lives and communities through the development of Oasis Academies. There are currently 54 Academies across the UK and our Pre-School is part of the Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill Hub. As a leading academy sponsor, this post offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a nationally growing organisation, making a difference to communities on a local level, while individually improving the life chances of young people.

Job/Person Summary
We are looking for a committed and driven practitioner to join our team. The successfully candidate will be an experienced practitioner and will be able to show they have the understanding and experience to deal with challenges faced by some families in this community, with compassion and sensitivity while aiming for the highest outcomes for both child and family. They will have some experience in working with children with special, educational needs and disabilities and a good understanding of the EYFS and how to best deliver it.
The successful candidate will need to understand, share and be committed to the Oasis ethos of inclusion, equality, healthy relationships, hope and perseverance.
Hours: 28 hours per week (working pattern to be discussed at interview)
Key Skills
- Knowledge of the principles of working in a preschool setting
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation stage
- Enthusiastic and effective team player
- Understanding of children’s development and needs
- Ability to work with parents and to encourage their involvement
- Calm and adaptable with an ability to work within a flexible and busy environment
- Good oral and written communication skills
