About The Role
Lead exceptional guest experiences at The Mezz, AO Arena’s premium hospitality offering. As a Premium Hospitality Manager, you’ll oversee either the restaurant or bar operation, driving exceptional service in a dynamic, high-energy environment.
This hands-on leadership role requires confident, decisive candidacy—someone who thrives under pressure and delights guests with warm, seamless service.
Flexible/event-based shifts available, primarily evenings, weekends, and major event days.
Responsibilities
- Lead service delivery within the restaurant or bar, ensuring a premium guest experience at every event.
- Manage and inspire teams—be an approachable, visible leader on the floor while upholding high service standards.
- Organise pre-event briefings, handle opening/closing procedures, and oversee seating plans (including VIP requirements and reservations).
- Build strong guest relationships, resolving issues quickly and executing effective service recovery where needed.
- Facilitate seamless coordination between kitchen, bar staff, hosts, and premium hospitality teams.
- Ensure licensing compliance (including Challenge 25 procedures), allergen management, accurate order taking, and service timing.
- Maintain exceptional presentation, cleanliness, ambience, and event readiness across all areas.
- Complete shift reports, incident logs and guest feedback summaries, escalating issues as required.
- Coach and develop teams through hands-on leadership and exemplary performance.

Key Requirements

- Leaders with premium hospitality experience in high-turnover environments like restaurants, hotels, stadiums, or luxury bars.
- Strong floor management skills—able to lead teams under pressure during bustling events.
- Exceptional guest service & relationship management, with confidence in complaint resolution.
- Decisive problem-solver experienced in fast-paced, high-stakes situations.
- Knowledge of licensing, allergen control, health & safety, and Challenge 25 procedures.
- Flexibility to commit to casual, event-based shifts (evenings, weekends, special events).
