Chef de Parti Pré-Cuisine (Prep Chef) – The Salt Room, Brighton
We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie/Prep Chef to join our talented team at The Salt Room, a modern British seafood restaurant with breathtaking seafront views of Brighton and the iconic ruins of the West Pier.
About The Salt Room
- Celebrates British seafood dining with a focus on cooking over fire
- Sources locally and with sustainability in mind
- Uses the same wood-fire techniques as our sister restaurants: The Coal Shed & Burnt Orange
- Offers a seasonal, bespoke menu of refrigerators cooked with charcoal
- Features a dynamic cocktail menu with earthy herbs and sea-infused drinks that change throughout the year

The Role
Core Responsibilities
- Leading and executing prep, plating, and delivery of dishes to exceptional quality
- Taking ownership of menu execution, hygiene, and food standards at all times
- Handling fresh ingredients and transforming them into flawless, restaurant-quality plates
- Ensuring authority over your section, with a focus on teamwork, efficiency, and precision
- Working in a fast-paced, multi-closed kitchen environment, thriving under pressure
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene while following Health & Safety regulations
- Cooking dishes to exact specifications, demonstrating technical skill and culinary passion
- Supporting -Menusskeleton and operation optimisation while upholding blackrock’s standards
