Prep Technician
Vertu Peugeot Exeter – Prep Technician Opportunity
Join Vertu Peugeot Exeter and take the next step in your automotive career as a valued Prep Technician within a supportive and high-performing team.
We are offering:
- A competitive basic salary between £29,200 and £36,440, depending on skills and experience
- A 42-hour working week, plus the opportunity to earn an additional performance bonus
- A £2,000 sign-on bonus (£1,000 in month 1 of employment and an additional £1,000 in month 13)
About The Role
As a Prep Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring every vehicle meets the highest standards before reaching our customers. Your attention to detail and pride in your work will directly contribute to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on new and used vehicles
- Working efficiently to agreed timeframes without compromising on quality
- Ensuring all work aligns with manufacturer standards
- Delivering right-first-time fixes while maintaining high productivity levels

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Level 3 qualification in Automotive (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Current experience as a Vehicle Technician or Prep Technician
- A desire to obtain an MOT licence (desirable, not essential)
- Your own set of tools
- A full UK driving licence
