Founded in 1919 as Phototype and recently rebranded as the Olberding Brand Family, we are a family company focused first on caring for people. Our services begin in conceptual brand strategy and design, then flow through adaptive design all the way to the production of color accurate and regulatory/retailer compliant physical and digital touch points. Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will take a supplied design file and brand guidelines to prepare / create artwork and convert into a press compatible format, whilst also making copy and design changes requested by the client. Maintain an effective and efficient workflow from the point the artwork is scheduled to the proof stage. Manipulate customer artwork so printed materials can be produced according to the production requirements. Graphic assembly of working art files; using a supplied print spec to create a final press-ready file. Design all files according to the requirements of the press it will run on; including press marks, color correction, etc. Maintain accuracy on all artworks so that orders flow efficiently and effectively. Maintain direct and open communication with internal admin team to ensure the final art meets the clients and printers needs. Communicate any press concerns with the admin team and present efficient suggestions and solutions for the client. Output production proofs depicting final artwork for client approval. Maintain an effective comprehension of calibration, profiling, and workflow procedures. Support the future development of the artworking team.

Required Skills
Strong Adobe Illustrator skills. Strong knowledge of consumer products packaging, creative design, production artwork, prepress and print services. Experience using Esko plug-in PowerTrapper or equivalent. Understanding of major printing methods (Flexo, Gravure, Offset). An understanding of changing priorities, sense of urgency, attention to details, execution of results and support for the team. Demonstrates excellent communication ability using strong listening skills and logical, systematic approach to assimilating and sharing information in all areas. Proficient use of macOs operating system including knowledge of business software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, FileMaker Pro and Acrobat. Strong ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality.
