Job Summary: Domain Consultant Manager

Your Career As Domain Consultant Manager, you lead a team of Domain Consultants specializing in Prisma Browser and other technologies. Your team shapes customers’ network security and zero trust strategies through deep technical expertise and relationship-building. Collaborating with Solutions Consultant Managers and their counterparts in sales, you will help customers detect, prevent, and counter advanced cyberthreats, becoming their trusted cybersecurity partner.

This dynamic role involves setting technical direction for solutions that address critical business goals while fostering the next chapter in Palo Alto Networks’ SASE and enterprise browser innovations. You will align with evolving enterprise needs, including cloud, hybrid workforce, and applications used across locations (home, mobile, field deployment). Key responsibilities include:

  • Guiding the growth of domain consultant talent by sourcing, hiring, and supporting high performers.
  • Developing training programs and technical playbooks tailored to yield higher customer success rates and shorten deal cycles.
  • Mentoring consultant teams, translating customer feedback into product roadmaps, and evangelizing the vision for next-gen security solutions.

Key Focus Areas

Customer-Centric Solutions

  • Collaborate with Solutions Consultants and channel account managers to provide technical leadership during sales cycles and customer engagements, from security overview discussions to high-level design (HLD) workshops.

  • Generate pre-sales enablement content and expert guidance for customers at all tiers—technicians to CIOs—ensuring Palo Alto’s solutions shine as the best-in-class.

  • Champion security methodologies, industry trends, and competitive differentiation in conversations with customers, shaping conversations around:

    • Enterprise Browser & SASE leadership.
    • Zero Trust / SASE appreciation in security architectures.
    • Argument-pairing against competitor strategies.
  • Office the team in refining proof-of-value (POV) test plans and addressing last-mile challenges with trusted implementation documentation.

Building High-Performing Teams

  • Recruit and develop top-tier talent to form a skilled Domain Consultant core.
  • Implement structured training and mentorship for consistent performance peak.
  • Coach teams on technical education, aligning validation processes within the enterprise OR.

Partnerships & Expansion

  • Champion next-gen endpoint security and/or cloud-native CNS products as core solutions in global defense architecture.
  • Work with Product Management to feed insight, advocate for roadmaps, or uncover latent gaps in product feature look.
  • Lead engagements with dynamic partners in the channel and foster reference accounts where partners advocate for Palo Alto’s product advantage across joint teams.

Travel & Location Considerations

  • Field sales role with flexible attendance requirements—travel for critical customer-facing engagements is common but flexible within standard expectations. Collaborate with your recruiter to customize workload specifics.

Impact Metrics Your contributions will drive measurable outcomes, including: ✔ Augmenting resource capacities and increasing domain consultant coverage. ✔ Sustaining leadership in the zero trust movement through expert-led implementations. ✔ Technical validation PoC cycle acceleration as a strategic component of sale tide conquest.


Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of cybersecurity or systems engineering leadership experience.
  • Proven success driving customer-facing teams (preferably within zero trust, network security, or SASE spaces), exceeding sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with product managers and engineers to bridge field demands with execution.
  • Strong executive presence, adept at presenting complex technical concepts to C-level stakeholders.
  • Experience with channel marketing and ** sales channel partnerships** is a critical advantage.
