Improving Access to Specialist Support for Addiction and Behavioural Health

We are seeking a UK prescribing doctor with expertise in Addiction Medicine and Compulsive Behavioural Disorders to support patients through remote prescribing services.

The role focuses on reviewing clinical recommendations and issuing prescriptions as part of a structured patient care pathway.

Key Responsibility

  • Review patient assessments and supporting clinical documentation.
  • Evaluate prescribing suitability in accordance with clinical guidelines.
  • Sign and issue prescriptions remotely through approved prescribing channels.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical governance, patient safety, and professional ethics.
  • Ensure all records and documentation are completed accurately and securely.
  • Support patients accessing specialist treatment for addiction and compulsive behavioural conditions.

Requirements

  • Active registration with the UK General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Current prescribing authority within the UK healthcare system.
  • Demonstrated experience in Addiction Medicine, Substance Use Disorders, or Compulsive Behavioural Disorders. (Must)
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and ethical prescribing practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently within digital healthcare systems.
  • Commitment to compassionate, non-judgmental, and patient-centered care.
