Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual clinical reviews, including patient history assessments.
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans aligned with current clinical guidelines.
  • Review clinical recommendations and prescribe appropriate medications.
  • Monitor treatment response and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support integrated patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Educate patients on medications, harm reduction strategies, and relapse prevention.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential:

  • Hold an active UK General Medical Council (GMC) Licence to Practise with current prescribing authority.
  • Bord certification (or equivalent substantial experience) in Addiction Medicine, Psychiatry, or closely related specialty.
  • Specialized experience in treating Substance Use Disorders and Compulsive Behaviour Disorders.
  • Proficient in telemedicine practice and EHR systems.
  • Strong clinical assessment and risk management skills with evidence-based prescribing expertise.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care and clinical governance.
