The Company

Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.

Jonathan Lee Workforce Solutions are the preferred supplier to Mazak and are seeking a Press Brake Operator.


Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC press brake machines safely and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical diagrams, and job specifications.
  • Select, install, and adjust tooling to meet job requirements.
  • Perform quality checks and ensure all parts meet required tolerances.
  • Monitor machine performance and adjust as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work area in line with 5S standards in Order.
  • Actively participate in Kaizen activities, contributing to continuous improvement of processes, safety, and productivity.
  • Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Complete production documentation accurately.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience operating CNC press brake machinery (required).
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours when required.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with JP, Bystronic, or similar machinery.
  • Basic programming knowledge (CNC press brake).
  • Forklift licence or overhead crane experience (advantage).
