About The Role

As a Press Brake Setter in Wolverhampton, you will set up and operate CNC brake press machines to produce high-quality sheet metal components to tight tolerances. Your responsibilities encompass reading engineering drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, adjusting machine settings, and performing first-off inspections alongside routine quality checks. This full-time, temporary role offers a pay rate of £14 to £18 per hour, dependent on experience. Working hours are from 1am to 8am, Monday to Friday. The position requires ensuring production targets are met while adhering to health and safety procedures, plus conducting routine machine maintenance and maintaining an organised workspace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC brake press machines.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Produce high-quality sheet metal components to tight tolerances.
  • Carry out first-off inspections and routine quality checks.
  • Select the correct tooling and adjust machine settings as required.
  • Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organised.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
