Position: Press Vehicle Delivery Driver

Location: Milton Keynes (MK5)

Work patterns: Monday-Friday. Day time hours

Start time: Between 05:00-08:00am

Contract Type: Zero Hour Contract (Permanent)

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

  • Carry out driving and delivering cars and transit vans from our handover centre in Milton Keynes
  • Provision of first class safe, efficient and customer focused delivery and collection services with DHL's customers and Networks
  • Conduct collections and deliveries of vehicles in accordance with the plan and/or instructions from the transport office
  • Ensure all delivery documentation and electronic POD's are completed accurately and in real time
  • Conduct a handover of the vehicle with the customer, answering questions and queries about the vehicle
  • To engage with the font line transport teams on daily brief and de-brief
  • Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
  • To conduct a full and thorough pre-shift inspection (OPS13) of vehicles and trailers in advance of their operation and to comply with the DHL defect reporting process, ensuring all defective vehicles, trailers and equipment are reported immediately
  • Use of public transport will be required to return back to the Milton Keynes handover centre, upon successful deliveries of vehicles, if a key to key service is not required

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

  • You will need to hold a clean valid Car Driving License (B), with at least 3 years of driving experience.
  • Be over the age of 25 (due to insurance purposes)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, whilst remaining professional at all times
  • Excellent time management
  • Working understanding of legal requirements, highway code and road traffic act
  • Experience within the automotive industry preferred but not essential as full training will be given
  • Ability to follow operational, legal and H&S procedures
  • Able to meet delivery demands of conducting nationwide travel
