We’re looking for outstanding pricing talent to join our high-performing Pricing team. You’ll have the opportunity to shape our pricing sophistication, implement innovative data science techniques and make a real impact in a business where your input truly matters.
As a Pricing Actuary, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of pricing strategy and innovation across Private Car, Telematics, Commercial Vehicle, and Taxi products. Working with a small team of expert actuaries and data scientists you’ll help drive business- critical decisions using advanced statistical and machine learning models.
Job Title: Pricing Actuary
Location: Liverpool or London on a hybrid basis
Salary: £Competitive DOE
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm
What you will be doing:
Build statistical and machine learning models to enhance risk cost and profitability predictions Conduct data analysis to support segmentations, performance monitoring and modelling enhancements Identify and implement innovative solutions for pricing and policy growth Present insights and solutions clearly to senior stakeholders Contribute to our dynamic and fast-paced pricing roadmap
What we are looking for:
A background in statistical, data science or actuarial roles Proficiency in Python for data handling and predictive modelling 2+ years UK motor pricing experience, ideally building GBMs Solid understanding of GI pricing, GLMs and machine earning techniques Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail for non-technical stakeholders A proven ability to deliver pricing initiatives with tangible results Independent thinker, self-starter and a problem solver A mathematical degree with strong academic performance is desirable Bonus: Experience with Emblem, Radar, Radar Live, or Databricks
