Pricing Analyst

Pricing Analyst – AllanGz™ commercial lines Mid-Corp Pricing team

Similar to our Hybrid Role (Guildford-based), this position focuses on data-driven pricing analysis to support underwriting and technical functions against corporateperformance targets.


Aboutee Pricin Analyst Role

This opportunity is ideal if you possess:

  • passion for data and modelling
  • a mix of analytical skills and adaptability (graduates or experienced professionals welcome)

Responsibility

  • Supporting global P&C Underwriting Pricing across Mid-Corp portfolios.
  • Contributing to strategic pricing projects that align with Allianz commercial commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilitis

  • Data Processing:
    • Curate and format valid pricing data from internal and external sources.
  • Model Development:
    • Build novel algorithms and predictive models to conduct value-sensitive pricing. Maintain competitive sophistication in the market.
  • Pricing Structure Management:
    • Monitor existing pricing setups and criteria across proprietary platforms.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work with rating delivery teams to ensure precision in rating outputs.
  • Influence Meetings:
    • Present analysis outcomes in stakeholder discussions.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify inefficiencies. Escalate risks to management as needed.
  • Stakeholder Relationships:
    • Interact clearly with business partners while aligning operational targets.

Essential Skills

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Hold a proven understanding of how individual/ team efforts affect performance and trade outcomes.
  • Exhibit decision-making skill within your expertise, knowing when to escalate (and how).
  • Analyse vast datasets. Translate data-driven insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Have full functional competence with:
    • MS Excel and VBA
    • SAS (Enterprise Guide & SAS Base)
    • Willis Towers Watson tools (Emblem, Classifier, Radar)
    • MicroStrategy reporting
