Pride in Place Programme Manager

Hosted by Crawley Borough Council, the Pride in Place Programme Manager works collaboratively with the Bewbush Neighbourhood Board, project leads, partners, and stakeholders to deliver a multi-faceted programme addressing local priorities and voices.

** Responsibilities**

  • Oversee the development, delivery, and implementation of the Pride in Place Programme
  • Lead programme governance, monitoring, reporting, and risk management
  • Act as the lead officer and secretariat for the Bewbush Neighbourhood Board
  • Support project leads in developing clear, deliverable plans aligned with agreed budgets and timescales
  • Manage programme finances, ensuring compliance with government and council requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and senior leaders
  • Lead monitoring, evaluation, and performance reporting to the UK Government

Requirements

You will need strong programme or project management experience, ideally in regeneration or economic development, within a local government or public sector context. Essential qualities include:

  • Proven experience in managing complex, multi-strand programmes and budgets
  • Strong partnership working, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills, including report writing and presentations
  • Experience in political environments and advising senior decision makers
  • A structured, proactive approach to risk, governance, and performance management
  • A commitment to equality, inclusion, safeguarding, and public service values

Qualifications & Experience

  • A degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) is essential
  • Desirable: Administration of government-funded programmes

Contract & Working Conditions
