Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, conscientious Prescribing Clinician to join an Extended Access Clinic team on Saturdays in South London. This role involves providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients within a community-based healthcare setting.
The successful candidate will play a vital part in improving patient access, ensuring timely and effective care delivery across a range of minor illness conditions. The position offers an opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
The Extended Access Clinic rotates across 3 practices in the Croydon area providing additional access to clinical services on Saturdays - 9am - 5pm.

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments of patients presenting with a range of minor illness concerns
- Develop and implement personalised treatment plans in collaboration with patients and wider healthcare teams
- Prescribe medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records in compliance with data protection regulations
- Ensure adherence to clinical policies, protocols, and best practices at all times
Essential Criteria
- Registered Prescribing Clinician with appropriate professional registration (e.g., HCPC or NMC)
- Proven experience in Primary Care / Urgent Care setting
- Adept in the use of EMIS
- Strong knowledge of current clinical guidelines
- Level 7 qualification in minor illness
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds
- Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a busy caseload efficiently
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Able to work autonomously.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining high standards of patient care
