Primary Class Teacher

KS2 (Year 4) Teacher – Newham, Permanent Role (September 2026)

Friendly, supportive, and diverse KS2 Teacher opportunity available at one of Newham’s outstanding primary schools—commencing September 2026.

Our client school, rated Good in their last Ofsted with outstanding behaviour & student safety, is seeking a talented Science, Geography, or History KS2 specialist (or generalist) with a passion for fun, immersive education and supportive teamwork.


About the Role

Position: Permanent KS2 (Year 4) Teacher Location: Inner London, Newham Salary: £35,575 – £58,624 (GBP, based on qualifications/experience) Contract start: September 2026 Opportunities open to: Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced KS2 practitioners

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Year 4 across the curriculum (literacy, maths, science, RE, specialism preferred)
  • Foster homework warm relationships with students, parents, and staff
  • Engage in curriculum design & planning (aligned to national standards)
  • Participate in solving progress & attendance with key stage & senior leadership
  • Maintain safeguarding standards and promote pastoral care
  • Support whole-school initiatives and community projects with charity partnerships

What We’re Looking For

Requirements:

✔ QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) / PGCE/PGDE or equivalent qualification ✔ Experience or passion for Year 4 education ✔ Strong relevant academic record and literacy/maths confidence ✔ Creativity, innovation, and communication skills to inspire children, parents & peers ✔ Reflective practitioner with a commitment to continuous improvement ✔ Commitment to pastoral care & safeguarding

Preferences/Advantages:

🔹 Formal experience in KS2 (Year 4 or equivalent) 🔹 BSc specialisms preferred (Science, Geography, or History) 🔹 Experience teaching in an inner-city London school
