Primary Class Teacher

Primary School Teacher – Year 6 Teacher Location: Barking and Dagenham Start Date: September Working Hours: Monday to Friday (08:00–16:00)


About the Role

Reeson Education is seeking a permanent Year 6 Teacher for a leading primary school in Barking and Dagenham.

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach across ages 3–13 (including Year 6).
  • Start in Dagenham as soon as possible (ASAP).

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging, and challenging lessons for all pupils.
  • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and student wellbeing.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and colleagues.
  • Engage in pastoral care and extra-curricular activities.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Preferable experience as a Primary School Teacher, ideally in a prep school.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • A passion for teaching with a commitment to high standards in education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to school life.
  • Willingness to maintain working hours: 08:00–16:00, Monday to Friday.
