Primary Maths Leader (Year 6) Putney September

Are you an experienced and passionate Primary Maths Leader looking for your next opportunity within an ambitious and supportive primary school? Primary Maths Leader responsibilities:

  • Teach a Year 6 class while taking responsibility for developing Mathematics across the school
  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and effective Maths lessons
  • Support pupils preparing for KS2 SATs through high-quality teaching and intervention strategies
  • Analyse assessment data and identify opportunities to improve pupil outcomes
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues to strengthen Maths teaching approaches
  • Promote confidence, reasoning and problem-solving skills across the curriculum

Primary Maths Leader requirements:

  • Applicants must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching in a primary setting is essential
  • Strong Year 6 teaching experience is highly desirable
  • Previous Maths leadership or subject leadership experience is advantageous
  • Candidates should demonstrate excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills
  • A passion for improving outcomes in Mathematics is essential
