Primary Maths Leader responsibilities:
- Teach a Year 6 class while taking responsibility for developing Mathematics across the school
- Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and effective Maths lessons
- Support pupils preparing for KS2 SATs through high-quality teaching and intervention strategies
- Analyse assessment data and identify opportunities to improve pupil outcomes
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues to strengthen Maths teaching approaches
- Promote confidence, reasoning and problem-solving skills across the curriculum
Primary Maths Leader requirements:
- Applicants must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching in a primary setting is essential
- Strong Year 6 teaching experience is highly desirable
- Previous Maths leadership or subject leadership experience is advantageous
- Candidates should demonstrate excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills
- A passion for improving outcomes in Mathematics is essential
