We’re recruiting for Night Hygiene Operatives to join our team in Hereford, Herefordshire! No experience necessary, full training is provided!

Mon - Thurs 21:00-05:00 / Friday 17:00-01:00 £1.61 shift premium
About the role
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will play an instrumental part in achieving the required hygiene standards with the Hygiene team for Avara Foods. You will adhere to health and safety at all times and follow all tasks in line with food safety rules.
- Understanding and attainment of both individual and department targets.
- Awareness of the usage of material and energy sources.
- Co-operate in the continuous improvement of quality, safety and productivity standards.
- Manual handling of plant and equipment
- Isolation of plant and machinery
- To meet housekeeping and hygiene standards individually and as part of a team.
- Compliance with food safety and HSE guidelines
- To carry out instructions as given to you by your Team Leader/Management

What you'll need to be successful
- Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
- The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
- Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
- Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided

A little about our Hereford site: The Hereford plant is our largest site and processes chicken products across two factory facilities, Grandstand Road and Yazor Road. Grandstand handles processing, whole bird production and portioning, with Yazor responsible for portioning and added value. Across the whole site approximately 1,500 people are employed and it processes 1.9m birds per week.
