Primary Teaching Assistant – Lambeth – September

Primary Teaching Assistant | Contract | September start £120 per day Outstanding training and development opportunities Work alongside experienced teachers, SEND professionals and senior leaders Excellent preparation for future teacher training or educational psychology pathways Supportive and collaborative staff culture Primary Teaching Assistant role within one of the highest-performing primary schools in Lambeth This popular primary school educates approximately 470 pupils aged 3-11 The school consistently achieves outcomes significantly above national averages, with over 85% of pupils meeting the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths combined Around 15% of pupils receive SEND support, with approximately 3% holding an EHCP Pupils benefit from an enriched curriculum including specialist music provision, outdoor learning and extensive extracurricular opportunities The school is recognised for its outstanding behaviour, inclusive ethos and strong parental engagement Located in the heart of Lambeth with excellent transport links Primary Teaching Assistant will support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 Deliver targeted interventions to raise attainment in literacy and numeracy Primary Teaching Assistant will work with small groups and individual pupils requiring additional support Support children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD and speech and language needs Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom organisation and assessment activities Primary Teaching Assistant will help create a positive and engaging learning environment Primary Teaching Assistant applicants should hold a minimum 2:1 degree from a leading UK university Previous experience working with children is highly desirable Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential A genuine passion for education and child development is required Primary Teaching Assistant candidates should be proactive, adaptable and committed to supporting pupil progress
