We are looking for an understanding and resilient person to work with children with SEMH in a highly regarded primary school in Havering, London.

Location: Havering, London Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time (Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM) Duration: Long-term until July 2027 Salary: £92–£120 per day Perks:

About the Role
A supportive and renowned primary school in Havering, London is seeking a passionate and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work with students exhibiting Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This full-time (until July 2027) role offers the potential for a permanent contract from September 2026, depending on the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students in KS1 & KS2.
- Work closely with children to meet their educational and individual needs.
- Enable behaviour management and emotional well-being support.
- Organise and deliver adapted learning resources to enhance academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to raise attainment and foster progress.

Requirements & Preferences
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant (preferred, but enthusiasm & empathy also valued).
- Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to engage confidently with children.
- Passion for supporting those with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
- Graduates facing recruitment barriers can apply if they demonstrate warmth, positivity, and resilience.
