Are you a Life Changer? Do you want to lean in and transform the life of a child?

At Compass Community, we put children first through our therapeutic, innovative approach. Integrity, Courage, and Care shape how we work. We listen deeply, challenge each other, and fix what needs fixing—to better the lives of children together. This is the work, and we’d love you to be part of it.

Who We Are

Our children come from a wide range of backgrounds but all have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Many may also have other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), such as Autism, ADHD, or communication difficulties.

As a trauma and attachment-informed organisation, all our staff receive extensive therapeutic training and support. Driven by our closely triangulated approach, the child is at the centre of decision-making, enabling collaboration between education and therapy professionals, parents/carers, local authority teams, and most importantly, our students, to deliver outstanding outcomes for all.

The Position

Our teachers are principally educators of children, not just subjects. Central to this role is knowing the child, nurturing professional relationships, and motivating students.

We seek a Primary Teacher with the ability/willingness to teach Maths and/or English to GCSE level. Our children deserve high aspirations regardless of their learning journey, and we firmly believe that qualifications offer life chances and opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
