Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver highly engaging, differentiated lessons across Key Stage 1 or 2.
  • Establish a safe, high-trust classroom environment built on mutual respect.
  • Assess, track, and record pupil progress, using formative data to tailor daily learning.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with teaching assistants to support pupils with SEND and EAL requirements.
  • Maintain open, proactive communication with parents, carers, and the wider school community.

Requirements for the Role

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching within a UK primary school setting (ECTs are welcome).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of primary pedagogical practices and safeguarding procedures.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness for one).
  • Exceptional communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
