Primary Teacher
Primary Teacher (Year 1) – Lambeth (Near Clapham North)
Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time Permanent Salary: MPS / UPS (Inner London)
About the Role
An ambitious and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking an extraordinary Primary Teacher to join its team in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who thrives on creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences in a school where innovation, collaboration, and pupil wellbeing are prioritised at every level.
The successful candidate will teach a Year 1 class, guiding young learners as they build on Early Years foundations while developing confidence, resilience, and core skills essential for future success. The school places strong emphasis on phonics, reading, and outdoor learning, ensuring pupils receive a rich and stimulating education.
Responsibilities
As a Primary Teacher, you will:
- Deliver imaginative, well-sequenced lessons across the Year 1 curriculum
- Build secure foundations in phonics, literacy, and mathematics
- Create an inclusive classroom environment where every child flourishes
- Use effective assessment techniques to personalise learning and celebrate progress
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to deliver a broad and inspiring curriculum

Requirements
We are looking for an exceptional teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has recent UK primary teaching experience (or is an enthusiastic ECT)
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Sets high expectations for both academic achievement and behaviour
- Is reflective, enthusiastic, and committed to continuous professional development
- Enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive team
