Job Title: Independent School Primary Teacher

Location: Kensington, London

Start Date: September 2025

Salary: Inner London teacher salaries + uplifts available (dependent on experience)

About Us

Reeson Education are working with a prestigious independent primary school in the heart of Kensington, renowned for small class sizes, nurturing environment, and commitment to academic excellence. The schools pupils love going to school, and they foster a culture of enthusiasm, curiosity, and high achievement. The headteacher is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join the team from September 2025. Additional responsibilities and Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) opportunities are available for the right candidate.

The Role

As a Primary Teacher in this independent school, you will inspire and challenge pupils to reach their full potential. You will benefit from small class sizes, allowing you to focus on high-quality teaching and individualized learning experiences. The role also provides opportunities for leadership and professional growth through extra responsibilities and TLRs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where children feel supported and motivated.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing timely feedback and interventions where necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum.
  • Engage with parents and carers to support each child's development and well-being.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, clubs, and events.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and leadership opportunities as appropriate.

Person Specification:

Essential

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
  • A passion for high-quality teaching and a commitment to pupil progress.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards teaching and learning.

Desirable

  • Experience working within an independent school setting.
  • Experience in subject leadership or curriculum development.
  • A willingness to take on extra responsibilities and leadership roles.
