Randstad Education is currently seeking passionate, adaptable Supply Primary Teaching Assistants (TAs) with strong phonics experience to work in various fantastic primary schools across the Leeds area. Whether you are looking for daily supply, short-term assignments, or a long-term position, we have flexible options to suit your schedule.
Key Requirements
- UK Primary School Experience: You must have recent, verifiable experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a UK primary school classroom.
- Phonics Expertise: A strong, proven understanding of UK phonics frameworks (such as Read Write Inc., Jolly Phonics, or Little Wandle) to effectively support early reading and writing.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum: Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and/or Key Stage 1 (KS1) curriculum.
- Safeguarding Compliance: A valid, enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness for a new one through Randstad).
- Core Classroom Skills: Outstanding behaviour management, strong communication skills, and a proactive, warm approach to supporting both the classroom teacher and diverse pupil needs.
