Location: Hereford

Role type: In-person, face-to-face tutoring in Hereford. This is not online work.

Phase: Primary

Quantum Scholars is looking for a caring, reliable and experienced Primary Tutor to support pupils in Hereford. This role would suit someone who is confident working with primary-aged children and can provide engaging, personalised support to help pupils build confidence and make progress.

The role may involve

  • Providing one-to-one or small group tuition for primary-aged pupils
  • Supporting learning in core subjects such as English and maths
  • Planning and delivering sessions that are appropriate to each pupil's needs and ability
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits
  • Adapting teaching approaches to suit different learning styles
  • Working closely with parents, carers, schools or other professionals where required
  • Keeping clear records of pupil progress and session outcomes
  • Promoting a safe, supportive and encouraging learning environment

Essential Requirements

  • Experience supporting or teaching primary-aged pupils
  • A good understanding of the primary curriculum
  • The ability to build positive relationships with children and support their confidence
  • Strong communication, organisation and behaviour management skills
  • A patient, professional and flexible approach
