Primavera Functional Consultant (Contract)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Primavera Functional Consultant to join our team on a contract basis. The consultant will be responsible for supporting the implementation, configuration, enhancement, and ongoing functional support of Oracle Primavera solutions. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, project controls teams, planners, and technical resources to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to project planning and scheduling processes.
  • Configure and support Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM and related Primavera applications.
  • Assist with system implementation, enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Configure project structures, calendars, resources, roles, activity codes, and security settings.
  • Support project scheduling, baseline management, progress tracking, and reporting activities.
  • Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and issue resolution.
  • Develop functional specifications, process documentation, and training materials.
  • Provide end-user training and functional support to business users.
  • Work with technical teams on integrations, data migration, and system-related activities.
  • Troubleshoot functional issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to project controls and scheduling best practices.

Skill and Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and project controls processes.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 Professional and/or Primavera P6 EPPM.
  • Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM), resource management, and baseline scheduling.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, functional configuration, testing, and user support.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a client-facing environment.
  • Experience working within project-based or consulting environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC).
  • Knowledge of Primavera Unifier or other project controls solutions.
  • Experience with system integrations and data migration activities.
  • Oracle Primavera certification is desirable.
  • Experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, utilities, energy, or capital projects environments.

Contract Details

  • 12 month contract
  • 2/3 days a week onsite
  • Inside IR35
  • Rates are DOE
