Job Description

Are you passionate about risk, governance and making complex businesses run better? We’re looking for a Prime Business Risk Manager to play a key role in supporting the Prime business with non-financial risk management.

In this role, you’ll work closely with Trading & Sales COO, Business Risk Managers and Compliance stakeholders to strengthen risk governance, assess and manage risk, support business analysis, and help maintain key risk processes and controls. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across teams, solving problems, and driving high standards of conduct, governance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification, assessment and mitigation of non-financial risks across the Prime business.
  • Review, create and enhance risk monitors and controls, including writing risk assessments where required.
  • Support the annual Prime RCSA and other businesses’ MARA assessments.
  • Lead the Prime Non-Financial Risk Forum, ensuring actions are taken to address any gaps, deficiencies or control weaknesses.
  • Escalate elevated risks to relevant senior stakeholders, including Markets COO, Cluster BRM, Global BRMs and Compliance.
  • Partner with BRM, COO and wider stakeholder groups to improve existing controls and strengthen the overall control environment.
  • Review operational errors, including losses, gains, near misses, reputational matters and other risk events.
  • Support Audit and Compliance reviews.
  • Assist with non-financial risk management activities across other Markets businesses where needed.
  • Act as a trusted partner to Prime Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, Compliance, Operational Risk and other stakeholders across business areas and geographies.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
