Head of Ads Strategy and Partnerships, EMEA (UK/EMEA/ME/AF)

The Ads Strategy and Partnerships team drives high-impact, strategic partnerships that strengthen Amazon Ads’ market leadership across the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. This critical leadership role spans the entire partnership lifecycle—from identifying opportunities to executing scalable engagements across major advertising platforms, agency holding companies, technical integrators, and martech providers.

About the Role

You will own end-to-end partnership strategy, guiding Amazon Ads in its expansion across EMEA by forging exclusive, high-value collaborations. Your dual responsibility will be to align internally with product and sales leaders while serving as the primary strategic interface for external partners—shaping joint go-to-market efforts tailored to local regulatory environments, media ecosystems, and advertiser maturity.

Key Priorities

  • Develop joint GTM strategies addressing EMEA’s unique commercial, technical, and regulatory challenges—from GDPR and the Digital Markets Act to evolving national data laws.
  • Design innovative commercial models (pricing, bundling, bundling retail media with DSP) that reflect Amazon’s value proposition across regional currencies and market dynamics.
  • Accelerate inorganic growth by unlocking new demand and supply—bridging gaps in ad tech, advertising effectiveness, and customer journeys across emerging and established markets.
  • Partner with external stakeholders to optimise infrastructure, pricing, and tech integrations, embedding Amazon Ads into broader enterprise digital advertising ecosystems.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends (privacy-first advertising, data clean rooms, identity resolution, AI-driven media buying) to shape industry standards and disrupt legacy models.

Responsibilities

Your work will drive impact across these domains:

1. Partnership Strategy and Sales

  • Identify, evaluate, and capture high-value opportunities across platforms, agencies, and martech providers.
  • Collaborate with Amazon’s Sales Leadership to define positioning, negotiation leverage, and scaling tactics for Amazon DSP, retail media network, and measurement solutions.
  • Lead joint GTM planning to align partners with regional priorities, integrating insights on spend trends, regulatory constraints, and advertiser behaviours.
  • Champion seamless cross-border partnerships, ensuring alignment between local subsidiary goals, global strategies, and enterprise-wide adoption.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

2. Creative Partnership Design

  • Design commercially disruptive models grounded in Amazon’s first-party data ecosystem (audio, retail, telecommunications, and global buying signals).
  • Tailor proposals for EMEA un овиces to address identification gaps by enumerating privacy-compliant solutions for targeting and measurement (e.g., buy-side error reduction, precision inventory optimisation).
  • Focus on monetary optimisation by structuring access to Amazon’s retail media network, ad targeting tools, and]+distribution channels to create sticky partnerships.
  • Advocate data-driven models (analytics, performance-based incentives, shareholder value visibility in negotiations) to drive engagement across local headquarters.

3. Market Growth and Competitive Advantage

  • Drive enterprise-wide adoption of Amazon DSP/RMN via scaled deal execution, general noise, and go-to-market tactics across adoptability tests.
  • Enable strategic alliances with partners to build integrated advertising solutions that encode Amazon Ads into broader digital transformation programs—balancing regulatory constraints with historic success of local publishers/resellers.

  • Ensure compliance while amplifying the differentiated proposition of Amazon’s business acceleration effects and client ecosystem.

4. Futuristic Business Development

  • Lead with foresight, scouting high-potential niches and emerging trends like:
    • First-Party Data challenges and privacy-safe solutions
    • Identity resolution security procedures (for DMP-free solutions)
    • AI/automated bid optimisation pricing experiments
  • Evaluation of new models like KPI um tech integrations and their application for demand-side performance.
  • Leverage strategic consultancy relationships (estuary, web alliances) to orchestrate global edge programs customized for EMEA regionalisation.
