The opportunity

Do you know B2B publishing from the inside? Have you spent time close to the audience, whether through research, editorial, or marketing, and built strong instincts about what subscribers actually value?

Collingwood is the only advisory firm purpose-built for B2B information, media, and events businesses. We help ambitious founders and leadership teams scale, create value, and exit well. We are looking for a Principal Adviser with a specialism in customer research to join our Advisory team.

The role

This is a generalist advisory role with a clear specialism. You will lead and deliver Insights projects: primary research programmes that help our clients understand their audiences, assess market opportunity, and make better decisions about their products and businesses.

  • Design surveys and interview guides
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative research
  • Turn findings into sharp, actionable recommendations
  • Contribute to broader advisory work across content, marketing, sales, and value creation strategy

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
