Principal Enterprise AI Architect | London | Hybrid (2 days per week) | £220,000 + Bonus
I'm working with a global investment management firm undergoing a major enterprise AI transformation.
AI is already embedded across the business, with multiple GenAI applications, AI agents and internal AI platforms in production. The next phase is scaling AI across the organisation by establishing the architecture, standards and governance that engineering teams will build against.
This is one of the firm's most senior individual contributor architecture roles, reporting directly to the Group Head of Enterprise Architecture.

The Role
- Defining the enterprise AI architecture and long-term platform strategy.
- Establishing AI standards, reference architectures and governance frameworks.
- Creating reusable AI capabilities and architectural patterns adopted across multiple engineering teams.
- Influencing AI adoption across investment, engineering and corporate functions.
- Evaluating emerging AI technologies and making strategic platform decisions.
- Remaining technically credible through architecture reviews, prototyping and technical leadership where required.

What you need
- A strong background in Enterprise AI Architecture within a large, complex organisation.
- Progressed through Machine Learning, Data Science or AI Engineering into architecture and technical leadership.
- Experience defining AI platform strategy, governance, standards and reference architectures.
- Delivered production AI solutions using technologies such as LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG and modern AI platforms.
- Experience working within large financial institutions, investment management, investment banking or other highly regulated environments.
