This innovation hub applies advanced AI, machine learning, data science/analytics and more to solve complex operational and engineering challenges across the UK's most critical infrastructure environments.
As Principal AI Consultant
You'll sit at the centre of a growing innovation team, driving AI use cases from proof-of-concept through to deployment. You'll be the connective tissue between AI specialists, developers and the wider business, coordinating multiple live initiatives, structuring prototypes, and making things happen.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically-fluent delivery lead to own the delivery of ambitious, high-impact AI builds for some of the country's most critical infrastructure projects.
This is a senior role in the organisation with real influence over which use cases get built and delivered, working alongside experienced technical experts in a collaborative, high-performing environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong delivery and coordination capability, with a track record of driving AI initiatives from concept to deployment across cross-functional teams.
- The ability to translate complex AI concepts clearly for non-technical stakeholders.
- An understanding of agentic AI, machine learning, and computer vision.
- Real AI curiosity - you've built or experimented with AI agents (Copilot, Claude, custom builds), understand prompting and tooling, and stay close to the pace of the industry.
- A technical foundation (computer science, engineering, maths, physics or similar) and the credibility to engage closely with technical teams.
- Experience in or exposure to physical infrastructure, civil engineering, defence, construction or another physical-asset industry.
