Principal AI Engineer (LLM/Agents) — (EdTech)

We're hiring a Principal AI Engineer to own the core architecture of a next-generation AI Tutoring system at a leading global EdTech company. You'll architect LLM-based agentic systems that adapt in real-time and help learners at scale - working directly with the founding team to reduce complexity and ship ambitious products fast.

The role in a nutshell:

  • Own the full architecture of an agentic AI tutoring platform: from prompt design and evaluation frameworks to production deployment and safety.
  • Move fast on ambiguous problems: streamline systems, cut through bottlenecks, and ship without losing capability.
  • Drive rigorous experimentation - build custom metrics, evaluate model interactions, and prove learning impact.
  • Lead by example: mentor engineers, raise the bar on code quality and shipping velocity, and own the vision with the founding team.

We're looking for:

  • 5–7+ years shipping production AI/ML systems (not prototypes).
  • Strong hands-on experience building complex LLM-based systems - prompt architecture, agentic workflows, reliability, evaluation.
  • Builder mindset: you own ambiguous problems end-to-end and simplify without sacrificing capability.
  • Passion for education (or deep curiosity about learning science) - you care about learning outcomes, not just model benchmarks.
  • Software fundamentals: Python, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and strong architecture thinking.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
