Shape and lead transformative Microsoft Azure initiatives across financial services.
About Capco
Capco is a global leader in technology and business consulting, dedicated to driving digital innovation and transformation in financial services. We’ve partnered with over 100 clients worldwide - from pioneering fintechs to established global institutions - helping them adapt, compete, and scale in a rapidly evolving industry. With more than 30 offices globally, we combine deep expertise in banking, payments, capital markets, insurance, wealth and asset management, and energy with an agile, inclusive, and entrepreneurial culture.
Role Overview
As an expert in Microsoft Azure architecture, you will take a leading role in shaping enterprise-scale, transformative programmes for our clients. You will operate at the intersection of business strategy and engineering excellence - on varied projects, from modernising the technology estates of financial institutions to designing new cloud-native platforms from the ground up. As a trusted advisor, you will work with senior leaders to define architecture strategies and visions, while delivering Azure-based solutions that drive clear business impact.
Your role will bridge the gap between senior stakeholders and delivery teams, bringing your architectural vision to life through multi-disciplinary teams working at pace. In addition, you will contribute to commercial activity and promote delivery excellence across our Technology and Engineering Practice through mentoring junior talent and thought leadership in the community.
Required Experience
To succeed in this role, you should have proven experience in:
- Leading solution and enterprise architecture for complex, large-scale Azure initiatives, supported by relevant Microsoft certifications.
- Advising senior leadership on cloud strategy, adoption, and development, with demonstrable client influence and business outcomes.
- Domain expertise in financial services or similarly complex regulated industries.
- Designing integrations between Azure estates, other cloud providers, legacy on-premises systems, and third-party services using API-led design, gateways, and BFF patterns.
- Designing distributed, zero-trust architectures using Azure services such as AKS, Azure Functions, and Service Bus for microservices and event-driven solutions.
- Leading cross-functional technical teams within agile delivery models and modern engineering practices (e.g., SAFe and DevOps).
- Applying recognised architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, Domain-Driven Design, or NIST).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
