Job Description
Our client is a specialist safety and compliance business with a new requirement in the team for a Principal Asbestos Consultant. They support a range of public and private sector organisations, universities, housing associations and housebuilders, as well as some interesting niche clients in logistics and manufacturing. This is an ideal role for someone working in Asbestos, who wants to get away from inspections and testing, moving into more of a strategic focused role delivering assurance and consultancy services for clients.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
If you are an experienced Asbestos professional, working as a Senior Consultant or Technical Manager and you're looking to develop in a more consultative role then this could be the company for you. Work typically includes:
- Quality control reviews of asbestos data reports
- Collection of audit data
- Conducting site-based audits of asbestos suppliers
- Consulting with suppliers to ensure improvements
As you develop in the role you will act as a Technical Lead, auditing asbestos management systems and developing consultancy reports. Because of the team and company growth, this role will also give you the opportunity to train and develop outside of Asbestos - into Health & Safety, Fire or Compliance - the leadership and wider team are incredibly supportive and invest time and money into upskilling and professionally supporting staff.

Salary range is between £45,000 and £65,000 depending on experience, with BOHS CoCA being an expectation for the top banding of the salary. If you are an Asbestos Consultant or Surveyor looking for an opportunity, it is still worth applying as this client is growing their offering across the South of England.
This would be a homebased role, picking up projects in the South West of England and South Midlands- it would be well suited to someone based anywhere along the M4 corridor. For more information call Dominic Jacques on 020 7960 2551 or click apply.
