The role
We're looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Principal Associate to join our thriving Corporate team in Norwich.
Working alongside 4 Partners and a team of experienced corporate lawyers, you'll advise an impressive client base ranging from start-ups and university spinouts to established businesses, management teams and multinational organisations. You'll be involved in a broad mix of high-quality work including M&A, corporate finance, fundraising, private equity, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements and strategic corporate advisory matters, many with an international element.
As part of a national team of around 100 corporate specialists, you'll enjoy excellent support, exciting opportunities and a clear path for progression.
The person
You will be a qualified solicitor with 10+ years' PQE and a strong track record in corporate transactional work gained within a national, international or respected regional practice.
You'll Bring
- Significant experience handling M&A transactions.
- Confidence leading complex corporate matters independently and as part of a wider team.
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent client relationship skills.
- An interest in a broad range of corporate work and a collaborative approach to delivering results.
- Enthusiasm for mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to business development activities.
- Experience of private equity transactions would be advantageous but is not essential.

The activities
- Lead and manage a variety of corporate transactions, including M&A and private equity deals, acting as the day-to-day lead with Partner support.
- Draft and negotiate key transaction documents while driving matters forward efficiently and commercially.
- Work closely with colleagues across our national offices and specialist teams to deliver seamless client service.
- Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers, helping to shape the next generation of talent.
- Build and strengthen client relationships while contributing to business development and networking initiatives that support the continued growth of the team.

Pre employment screening
