Join Tetra Tech’s expanding Fire Safety team and apply cutting‑edge engineering to projects that protect people and infrastructure. If you’re a meticulous, proactive fire safety engineer who thrives in technical, multidisciplinary teams and wants meaningful career progression, this role is for you.

Purpose & Scope of the Role

As Senior/Principal Fire Safety Engineer you will deliver fire engineering services across public and private sector projects in the UK and internationally. You’ll apply fire engineering principles to building design, undertake technical delivery and compliance checks (Approved Document B, BS 9999 and fire engineering approaches), review designs and drawings, attend site and design-team meetings, and contribute to winning and delivering projects with a fire safety component.

Your Impact in this position

You will shape safe, pragmatic fire solutions across commercial, residential, education, healthcare and defence sectors. Your technical decisions will influence design teams and client outcomes, reduce risk, and support project delivery. You’ll also provide technical guidance that raises team capability and ensures consistent, high‑quality engineering outputs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
