Are you passionate about shaping the future of Cloud technology and AI on modern digital platforms? Does the idea of working for different public sector and regulated clients on complex, business-critical projects excite you? If yes, then read on!

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping cloud strategy and platform capabilities for our clients, with deep expertise in AWS and cloud-native infrastructure, platforms, security, and automation technologies.

This is a senior role for someone who can set architectural direction, advise senior stakeholders, and lead delivery teams, while designing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions that accelerate digital transformation and operational excellence. You will help clients realise the full value of cloud adoption through modern architecture, platform engineering, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation, delivering sustainable outcomes in complex and regulated environments.

This is a permanent position within our Technology Solutions function. At Credera, we operate a flexible hybrid working model, requiring 3 days per week onsite - either at client sites or your local Credera office (London, Leeds, Manchester, or Newcastle). We value collaboration and client impact, balancing flexibility with in-person connection to deliver exceptional results.

Please note: Due to the nature of this role and specific client engagement, any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance. To meet the client's eligibility requirements, applicants must have been resident in the UK for the last five years and must not have spent more than six consecutive months outside the UK during that period.

Requirements

You will combine hands-on architecture with senior leadership, owning complex cloud transformation and platform delivery initiatives while helping clients maximise the value of cloud technologies across public sector and regulated environments.

You will have:

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in cloud architecture, strategy, engineering, and large-scale transformation delivery
  • Professional-level AWS cloud architecture certification
  • Deep expertise in AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures, with experience designing secure, scalable, and resilient platforms
  • Experience defining cloud strategies, target architectures, operating models, and transformation roadmaps aligned to business objectives
  • Experience designing and leading complex cloud migration and modernisation programmes across enterprise environments
  • Strong understanding of platform engineering, infrastructure automation, and modern DevOps practices
  • Experience implementing cloud security, governance, resilience, and compliance controls for public sector and regulated environments
  • Proven ability to lead multiple, complex areas of work to time, cost, and quality with minimal direction, managing large teams as the key point of escalation
  • Ability to partner with and influence senior stakeholders, navigating the political landscape of client delivery to achieve programme objectives
  • A track record of understanding the broader risk landscape and standing up multi-functional teams of SMEs to resolve complex challenges
  • Recognised as a subject matter expert driving innovation and market-leading cloud practices across multiple clients and industries
  • Strong understanding of cloud financial management, operational excellence, and the key drivers of cost-effective cloud delivery
  • Experience mentoring engineers and architects, building capability in junior team members and client counterparts
  • Experience working in client-facing consulting environments, delivering measurable business outcomes through technology transformation
  • You will be required to hold active SC clearance for this role

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
