Principal C# /.NET Engineer - Development Lead

Initial 6 month contract
Start date - ASAP
London - Hybrid

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading solution design and hands-on development in C# / .NET
  • Working across MongoDB, SQL Server, and enterprise messaging (Kafka / ActiveMQ)
  • Supporting migration to OpenShift/Kubernetes-based container platforms
  • Mentoring developers and setting engineering direction
  • Applying modern engineering practices SOLID, microservices, contract-first API design

What we're looking for:

  • Expert C# /.NET, with strong.NET Core / modern.NET experience
  • Proven track record as a senior developer, tech lead, or principal engineer
  • Strong document database (MongoDB) and relational database/SQL skills
  • Experience with container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes preferred)
  • Comfortable operating in a regulated, delivery-focused environment
  • Financial services background is essential
