About the Role

Ably Resources are representing a highly respected international engineering consultancy that is continuing to expand its Civil Engineering team due to sustained growth across major infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Principal Civil Engineer looking to take a leading role on some of the UK's and Europe's most technically challenging developments.

You'll work within a multidisciplinary environment, helping to deliver large-scale mission-critical infrastructure projects from concept through to completion.

As a Principal Civil Engineer, you will lead the delivery of civil engineering designs across a variety of complex infrastructure projects, providing technical leadership while working closely with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Leading civil engineering design from feasibility through to detailed design.
  • Delivering drainage, highways, earthworks, utility infrastructure and external works packages.
  • Coordinating with Structural, MEP, BIM and Design Management teams.
  • Managing client relationships and supporting project delivery.
  • Mentoring and developing junior engineers.
  • Contributing to technical excellence and engineering best practice.

About You

We're keen to speak with engineers who possess:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer status (ICE) or are working towards Chartership.
  • Strong experience delivering complex civil engineering design projects.
  • Experience within data centres, mission-critical facilities or other major infrastructure developments would be highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD and InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage.
  • The ability to lead projects whilst maintaining excellent technical standards.
