JR152791 Principal Clinical Data Science Lead

As a Principal Clinical Data Science Lead at ICON, you will be responsible for guiding and oversee the application of advanced data science methodologies to clinical research and development.

What You Will Do

Your focus will be on coordinating clinical data science delivery, resolving issues, and developing team capability. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design and implementation of advanced data science methodologies and statistical models to support clinical research and data analysis.
  • Guiding a team of data scientists and analysts in the development and execution of data-driven strategies to optimize clinical trial design and outcomes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including clinical, biostatistical, and regulatory experts, to ensure integration of data science insights into clinical development programs.
  • Driving innovation in the use of data science tools and techniques, including machine learning and predictive analytics, to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical trials.
  • Providing strategic direction and oversight for data management and analysis processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Communicating complex data findings and insights to stakeholders, including senior leadership and external partners, to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Your Profile

You will have solid clinical data science experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and develop your team.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, computer science, or a related discipline
  • Extensive experience in clinical data science, with a strong track record of applying data science methodologies to clinical research and development.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing teams of data scientists and guiding data science initiatives in a clinical or biopharmaceutical setting.
  • Expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques, with proficiency in relevant software and programming languages.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial processes, regulatory requirements, and best practices in data management and analysis
