Principal Clinical or Counselling Psychologist - North Warwickshire Early Intervention Service

22.5 hours

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our North Warwickshire Early Intervention Service. The service provides biopsychosocial interventions for individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis or at risk mental state (ARMS). The service also provides carers support and Behavioural Family Therapy for families of individuals experiencing first episode of psychosis or ARMS.

You will join a multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for leading and overseeing psychological provision provided by others in the service. This will involve undertaking psychological assessments and formulations and the delivery of evidence-based therapies for individuals with psychosis or ARMS and supervising others delivering therapies in the service.

The other psychological professionals in the team consist of a Senior Psychologist, CBTp Therapist, and an Assistant Psychologist. The service has strong links with the Coventry and Warwickshire Doctorate in Clinical Psychology course. Therefore you will also be expected to support clinical psychology trainees and other psychological professionals in their training and development. Research is also highly valued and we welcome people who support our research vision.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
